Wereldpremière van Ensemble Interface met Hans van Koolwijk

Ensemble Interface verzorgt de openingsperformance. Dit internationale collectief (Frankfurt, 2009) richt zich op hedendaagse muziek door middel van onderzoek, educatie en performance. Samen met drie componisten heeft Interface Hans van Koolwijk gevraagd voor Klangmøbil nieuwe instrumenten te ontwerpen, opdat de musici uit hun comfortzone treden. Zo zijn de Bellen-installatie, de Beam-cello, de Glissando-drum en andere nieuwe instrumenten gebouwd.
Hier kunt u een compilatie van Klangmøbil bekijken, als voorproefje voor de opening.

Komende week werkt Hans van Koolwijk met het Ensemble en de componisten in de hal aan de compositie. Het wordt spannend, het is een experiment, een work in progress.

Nog een week en dan openen de deuren van DordtYart voor Sense of Sound. De opbouw is in volle gang en de hal vult zich met steeds meer geluid. Zo worden Ideofoon 1 en Ideofoon 3 van Dick Raaijmakers momenteel geïnstalleerd, terwijl de werken van Ad van Buuren en Paul Panhuysen wachten tot ze volgende week mogen klinken voor het publiek.

Naast de installaties van de grondleggers van de geluidskunst in Nederland tonen jonge, net afgestudeerde kunstenaars Tamar Harpaz, Matthijs Munnik, Matthias König en het duo Elise 't Hart & Nils Davidse nieuwe werken. Ook gerenommeerde kunstenaars Maria Barnas, Hans van Koolwijk, Robert Lambermont, Radboud Mens, en Nico Parlevliet dragen bij aan de tentoonstelling. Zij tonen installaties en geven geluidperformances.

Sense of Music, concerten in het klankbodempaviljoen en workshops

De voorverkoop van Sense of Music, de concertenreeks in het Klankbodempaviljoen van Dré Wapenaar in september en oktober, is in volle gang. Gaat u voor de Canto Ostinato met accordeon en piano (Ivo Janssen en Vincent van Amsterdam), een jazzconcert van Jeroen van Vliet en Mete Erker, een koor (Vocaal Huygens Ensemble) of een experimentele avond met verhalen uit verre landen waarbij piano, klassieke zang en tapdans (Verre Verhalen met o.a. Brigitte van Hagen) worden gecombineerd?

World Premiere of Ensemble Interface with Hans van Koolwijk

Ensemble Interface will  give a special opening performance. This international collective (Frankfurt, 2009) focuses entirely on contemporary music through special performances, educational activities and research. Together with three composers, Interface asked Van Koolwijk to design new instruments for Klangmøbil, so the musicians will get out of their comfort zone. Together they created the Bell-installation, the Beam-cello, the Glissando-drum and other new instruments.

Upcoming week Hans van Koolwijk will work together with the Ensemble and the composers in the hall on their composition. It will be exciting, it will be an experiment, a work in progress.

Next week the doors of DordtYart will open for Sense of Sound. The construction is in full swing and the hall if filling with more and more sounds. Currently Ideofoon 1 and 3 by Dick Raaijmakers are build up, while the work by Ad van Buuren and Paul Panhuysen are waiting until they can make some noise for the visitors next week.

Next to the installations of these founders of the (electronic) sound art in the Netherlands we show new work by young, recently graduated artists Tamar Harpaz, Matthijs Munnik, Matthias König and the duo Elise 't Hart & Nils Davidse. Also renowned artists Hans van Koolwijk, Nico Parlevliet, Maria Barnas, Radboud Mens and Robert Lambermont contribute to the exhibition. They show installations and give sound performances.

De pre-sale of Sense of Music, the series of concerts in the Sound Pavilion of Dré Wapenaar in September and October has started.
