Terugkijken verschijnen/verdwijnen

Filmmaker Jeanne van der Horst maakte net als ieder jaar een prachtig verslag van de laatste tentoonstelling in de Biesboschhal. In de film horen we de kunstenaars spreken over hun werk, zien we de onderzoeken vorderen en nieuwe werken ontstaan.

Susanna Inglada wint De Scheffer Prijs 2019

Afgelopen seizoen werkte kunstenaar Susanna Inglada in DordtYart aan nieuwe sculpturen in nieuw materiaal: metaal. De verhalen over haar thuisland en recente (politieke)geschiedenis kregen hiermee een heel nieuwe vorm.

Mooi nieuws dan ook dat Susanna Inglada De Scheffer 2019 heeft gewonnen! De Scheffer is een tweejaarlijkse aanmoedigingsprijs van de Vereniging Dordrechts Museum (VDM) voor jonge beeldend kunstenaars. De prijs bestaat uit de aankoop van een werk en een expositie in het Dordrechts Museum. Susanna Inglada wist de jury te overtuigen met haar zeggingskracht, vernieuwingsdrang en de sociale en politieke relevantie van haar werk.

Haar werk is van 16 november t/m 8 maart te zien in het Dordrechts Museum.

Prix de Rome: Femke Herregraven en Sander Breure & Witte van Hulzen

De vier genomineerde kunstenaars voor de Prix de Rome tonen de diversiteit van de hedendaagse kunst in het Stedelijk Museum Amsterdam. De twee kanshebbers op de prijs zijn volgens ons de oud DordtYart kunstenaars Femke Herregraven (2019) en Sander Breure & Witte van Hulzen (2018). Op 31 oktober wordt de winnaar van deze mooie prijs bekendgemaakt. De tentoonstelling is te zien t/m 22 maart 2020. Klik hier voor meer informatie over de Prix de Rome en de tentoonstelling.

Kröller-Müller Museum: Wineke Gartz

We bezochten nog een tentoonstelling van een oud DordtYart kunstenaar: Wineke Gartz in het Kröller Müller. Het uitgangspunt voor Le rêve, la route, le mur is het gebouw: de ontstaansgeschiedenis de ordening van de ruimtes na en naast elkaar, de manier waarop mensen zich door de ruimtes bewegen, het opvallende licht dat steeds verandert. Een aanrader!

Susanna Inglada wins the Scheffer Prize 2019

During verschijnen/verdwijnen artist Susanna Inglada worked in DordtYart on new sculptures in new material: metal. The stories about her home country and recent (political) history thus took on a whole new shape.

Great news: Susanna Inglada won the De Scheffer 2019! De Scheffer is a biennial incentive prize from the Dordrechts Museum Association for young visual artists. The prize consists of the purchase of a work and an exhibition in the Dordrechts Museum. Susanna Inglada managed to convince the jury with her expressiveness, urge to innovate and the social and political relevance of her work.

Her work can be seen from 16 November to 8 March in the Dordrechts Museum.

Prix de Rome: Femke Herregraven and Sander Breure & Witte van Hulzen

The four nominated artists for the Prix de Rome show the diversity of contemporary art in the Stedelijk Museum Amsterdam. The two contenders for the prize are, according to us, are the old DordtYart artists Femke Herregraven (2019) and Sander Breure & Witte van Hulzen (2018). Kröller-Müller Museum: Wineke Gartz

We visited another exhibition by an old DordtYart artist: Wineke Gartz in the Kröller Müller. The starting point for Le rêve, la route, le mur is the building: the history of its origin, the arrangement of the spaces after and next to each other, the way in which people move through the spaces, the striking light that is constantly changing. Recommended!
