Nieuwsbrief - DordtYart

Nog één weekend is DordtYart gevuld met geluidkunst. Veel mensen lieten oren en ogen al verrassen door de klankinstallaties in de hal en op het buitenterrein.

Maar het slotakkoord van de tentoonstelling Science of Sound heeft nog niet geklonken, het finissageweekend is nog gevuld met geluid. Op vrijdag en zaterdag en zondag tot 15.00 uur kunt u de hal en de werken nog beluisteren en bekijken. Op zondag 7 oktober hebben we een speciaal programma en zijn de kunstenaars van de tentoonstelling aanwezig om u meer te vertellen en te laten horen.

Performance Andreas Sahl Andersen
Voor de tweede keer bespeelt kunstenaar Andreas Sahl Andersen zijn installatie in de hal, gebouwd tegen een van de kolommen van de machinehal. Een klein klokje staat te tikken terwijl een tiental wielen draaien en zo af en toe een geluid hoorbaar maken. Tijdens deze performance bespeelt Andreas de installatie. Een bijzonder spannende performance, verrassend voor oor en oog.

Etude No1 - tuning the instrument, Lars Kynde op zijn Wind Cello
Aan het water staat de Wind Cello om wind te vangen. Tijdens de finissage bespeelt Lars zijn nieuwe instrument en speelt het stuk: ‘Etude No1 - tuning the instrument’, waarvan de partituur uitgeschreven staat op een houten plaat naast het instrument. Lars zal gedurende de middag performen, dus loop zeker langs om de tonen van de Wind Cello te vangen.

Open atelier en performance Organa Elise ’t Hart en Nils Davidse
Op de tussenverdieping van DordtYart zit sinds een jaar het atelier van Elise ’t Hart en Nils Davidse. Er wordt hier geëxperimenteerd met geluid, muziek en beeld. Momenteel staat in het atelier een proefopstelling voor een nieuwe performance met de installatie Organa, die u misschien nog wel kent van de vorige tentoonstelling Sense of Sound. Dit keer is de performance een samenwerking tussen de huisorgeltjes, analoge synthesizers en Elise en Nils.

For one more weekend, DordtYart is filled with sound art. Many people already surprised ears and eyes by the sound installations in the hall and on the outside area.

But the final chord of the Science of Sound exhibition has not yet sounded, the finissage weekend is still filled with sound. On Friday and Saturday and Sunday until 3 pm you can still listen to and watch the works. On Sunday 7 October we have a special program and the artists of the exhibition are present.

Performance Andreas Sahl Andersen
For the second time artist Andreas Sahl Andersen plays his installation, built against one of the columns of the machine hall. A small clock is ticking while a wheels turn and occasionally make a sound audible. During this performance, Andreas plays the installation. A real exciting performance, surprising for ear and eye.

Etude No1 - tuning the instrument, Lars Kynde on his Wind Cello
The Wind Cello is located on the waterfront to catch the wind. During the finissage Lars plays the piece: 'Etude No1 - tuning the instrument' on his new instrument. The score of this piece it written on a wood plate next to the instrument. Lars will perform during the afternoon, so be sure to stop by to catch the Wind Cello tones.

Open studio and performance Elise ’t Hart and Nils Davidse
On the first floor of DordtYart you'll find the studio of Elise 't Hart and Nils Davidse. Here they experiment with sound, music and image. At the moment, you'll find a test set-up for a new performance with the installation Organa, which you may know from the previous exhibition Sense of Sound. This time the performance is a collaboration between the house organs, analog synthesizers and Elise and Nils.
